Circuit to report PclpB expression in vivo (alternate design)


This sensor places sfGFP after a promoter which normally controls the expression of the heat shock protein ClpB in Escherichia coli. Therefore, cells transformed with this circuit report expression levels of the clpB promoter via level of green fluorescence.

We use this circuit to compare PclpB expression in cells that have either been transformed or not been transformed with a secondary circuit, allowing us to test for differential expression from the clpB promoter associated with that circuit.

This circuit is an alternate version of BBa_K3773517. After testing, we consider this (BBa_K3773518) to be the superior design. Please see the "Design" and "Experience" pages for more information.
